Rory manages investment portfolios for private clients, families, family businesses, charities, pension funds and clients of EU-based intermediaries.
Rory has over 30 years international experience in regulated financial services, including institutional investment management, private banking and private wealth management in the US, UK and Ireland. He has held several senior roles including CFO at Wells Fargo’s investment management subsidiary, Director at Bank of Ireland Private Bank and Head of Private Banking for HSBC Ireland. Rory joined RBC Brewin Dolphin when it acquired Investec’s Irish wealth management business in 2019.
Rory is a Chartered Accountant, having spent 7 years in private practice in Ireland and the US, where he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant. He is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) and holds the European Financial Advisor designation.
Rory’s extensive financial and commercial experience enables him to hold broad conversations with his clients to identify solutions and introduce other specialists, where required. Rory sees trust, understanding and communication as the foundations to building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
